If you’re seeing this error, I am willing to bet that you are using the include statement as seen below:

What specifically causes this error is the fact that the server has upgraded from PHP 4 to a newer version. In the upgrade, the allow_url_fopen is set to OFF, which is responsible for disallowing include files to use absolute file paths.

Don’t be in a rush to turn this off in your system configuration just yet! Any upgrades past PHP 4 will turn allow_url_fopen to OFF as default due to security concerns. This is most prevalent in cross-site scripting attacks, or XSS attacks. In some cases, malicious users have even enslaved a server to become a spam-email-sending nightmare: all without the administrator noticing!

If there is any part of a website that allows a user to upload data of some sort, there are vulnerabilities that are present with poor coding that may allow malicious users to inject an include statement. By allowing allow_url_fopen to be set to ON, it allows them to include any file they wish from any website on the Internet. With it set to OFF, only documents on the server may be included. This is much safer considering you probably don’t have malicious code stored on the server. (And theoretically, if you did, hackers probably wouldn’t be able to find it)

The First Solution: Use Relative File Paths

A web server will automatically assume that the code below belongs on the server, and thus, is not a remote file:

Relative file paths can be used in every legitimate situation an absolute path would be used, although it may take a little more work. As in the example above, you may have to work at determining where the file you wish to include exists in relation to the PHP file being run.

The Second Solution: Use Another PHP Function

We may substitute the include statement with file_get_contents, which reads an entire file into a string.

This is a good alternative to keep the absolute path an option in including a certain file. There are some instances where the above code wouldn’t come out as planned, depending on the situation. In addition, it adds another line of code that we can relinquish with the best solution: using a server variable.

The Best Solution: Using Server Variables

If you don’t want to spend hours rearranging code, you can do it the easy way with $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].

This allows you to keep the absolute path that you’ve come to be familiar with in using the include statement. Technically, the $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] command gives your path to the public_html directory, as seen below:

Essentially this is the root of your website, www.YourDomain.com, and therefore, you can use it just as you would with any other include statement. Just replace www.YourDomain.com with the server variable and you’re set!

• Create or make sure database settings are ready to use.
• Copy necessary files in according places (loalhost/webserver).
• In drupal installation, If you have used 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost, then access the site with 127.0.0.1.

SQL Server 2008 RC 0 Setup shows the following error messages after running a set of rules to determine if the installation process will be blocked:

Remove the following files from the “C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA” directory:

• ReportServer.mdf
• ReportServer_log.LDF
• ReportServerTempDB.mdf
• ReportServerTempDB_log.LDF.

After deleting the files, click on the “Re-run” button of the Installation Rules setup page, and click “Next” after passing all the installation rules.

Searching the drupal.org forums turns up a lot of possible solutions, most complex. But among the many solutions on this page http://drupal.org/node/2420, one by donnoit looked simple enough even for me:

Edit page.tpl.php in your theme dir and change the line that checks title != “” to title != “x”. Then simply give x as the title to your page and it shouldn’t show up.

If you open up your page.tpl.php inside your theme folder, you may either find this

Now, change it to this:

Well, I encountered this error when tried to play .3gp files with vlc player. And the easy way lies in the error message

Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

BUT there is always a hard way if you’d like to walk. You’re going to have to compile your own copy of VNC. Which isn’t fun at all.

Warcraft 3 uses microsoft Visual C++ 8.0 runtime libraries. If the libraries are not installed in the system – w3 gives warning about the system misconfiguration.

You can download microsoft libraries from here. Don’t worry – digitally signed by microsoft. Taken from VC5 package and legal to distribute freely. After the installation Warcraft3 will run normally.

Solution:

1. You need to reconfigure php.ini file. If you don’t have access to this php configuration you need to ask server administrator to change this.

Run a phpinfo file to display the configurations in the php.ini file.

look at where it says memory_limit – It will mostly like say 8MB which is the default.

Now edit your php.ini file to 16MB. Restart your httpd (apache) server.

2. If this doesn’t work, you will have to edit your script ad put this code at the very top:

ini_set(“memory_limit”,”16M”);

3. Else look for .htaccess in your root and add the following line to it:
php_value memory_limit 12M

1. The first step in playing .rmvb files in Ubuntu is to use the Synaptic Package Manager to install MPlayer. When you mark MPlayer for installation, you’ll be prompted to install additional software packages (if they’re not already installed).
2. After MPlayer has been installed, exit out of the Synaptic Package Manager and visit the MPlayer binary codec download page. Download the codec package for your platform (for example, if you’re using a 32bit Intel or AMD processor, download the Linux x86 package).
3. Extract the codec file.  They’ll be in a folder titled essential-date.
4. From Terminal Enter the following commands from root.

   cd essential-date
   sudo mkdir /usr/lib/codecs

   sudo cp * /usr/lib/codecs

6. NOTE: you may need to install libstdc++5 to get .rmvb files to play. Even though it might not be necessary for you, it can’t hurt to install (the package isn’t very big). Run the command: sudo apt-get install libstdc++5 in a Terminal, or use Synaptic and search for libstdc++5.
7. Launch MPLayer by selecting Applications -> Sound & Video -> MPlayer Movie Player. Right-click in the Mplayer – Video window and select Preferences from the menu.
8. Select the Video tab and change the Available drivers: to x11 X11 (XImage/Shm).
9. Select the Codecs & demuxer tab and change the Video codec family: to RealVideo decoder and the Audio codec family: to FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders. When you’re done, click OK and close down MPlayer.
10. Play any .rmvb video using MPlayer.
